Introduction to Fusion360: 3D Printing and Laser Cutting

Join Artisan’s Asylum for an online basic introduction to CAD (Computer Aided Design) using Fusion 360 and 3D printing. During the two virtual evening sessions, students are introduced to the process and the CAD-to-Printer workflow of designing a 2D sketch and transforming into a physical 3D object from scratch using Fusion 360’s platform.

Fusion360 is a free CAD program for personal usage, so you can test it prior to our class.

Students will become familiar with the concepts of design thinking for digital fabrication and how to design 3D objects in Fusion360 with the intention to 3D print. You will understand the basics of the 3D printing workflow, starting from putting your 3D object into slicer software to the settings to get the most out of your 3D printer. With some basic tips and tricks, this class will get you 3D printing your designs in no time.
