Skip the Small Talk (Virtual Edition)

Join Aeronaut for another edition of Skip the Small Talk, virtually!

Do you wish you could have more of the kinds of conversations you have late at night where for some reason, you feel safe talking about the things you actually care about?

Bring your friends (or come by yourself) and spend your Sunday afternoon at an event where you know everyone else is there for the same reason.

Skip the Small talk uses techniques grounded in psychological research to offer people the tools they need to interact more genuinely and feel more connected to each other in their daily lives. In their own words, they’ve “read the white papers, sorted through the abstracts, and connected the dots to create social interaction activities that actually work. And guess what? We promise it won't be awkward.”

They’ll be offering question prompts with "big talk" conversational topics to get you started, and will have lots of structure to make sure that you actually talk to people and that it's not awkward. Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, there will be plenty to choose from. They’ll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.
